This is where I play, experiment, and make a beautiful mess. Art journaling and mixed media are how I process what I’m feeling, explore ideas I can’t put into words yet, and remember why I started creating in the first place. Most of what you’ll find here is hands-on and tactile — paint, paper, texture, happy accidents — with some digital art journaling inspiration mixed in.

My sister and her family (who came from Minnesota), my brother and his wife, and some friends who’d been in my parents’ lives for almost 40 years were all there to join in the celebration.

Artful Intentions Week 12

My husband and I just returned from 10 days on the East coast. It was an opportunity to visit our daughter in New York City and to reconnect with family in Maryland – some of whom I’d not seen since I was a child. It was a great trip down memory lane and it reminded me of the importance of face-to-face contact with loved ones – even though, in this age of Facebook, it’s possible to stay in touch across many miles.
