April 2020 Challenge

The winner of this challenge has been announced here.

This challenge period as expired and the discount coupon is no longer available.

Challenging times are when we all need to find a way to express what’s going on inside us..

The April challenge is to take a deep breath and create a page that demonstrates something that you’re feeling right now — good, bad or otherwise. Gratitude, fear, anger, joy, concern, optimism — whatever it is, and to incorporate this month’s free Rubber Stamp Alpha.

  • Your page doesn’t need to be “heavy” or “deep” — unless you wish it to be.
  • You need not use a picture, but feel free to do so if you wish.
  • You need not journal on your page, but feel to do so if you wish. My journaling is there, but it’s the very bottom layer so that it’s hidden from outside eyes. I’ve got a short video for you demonstrating how I did it. Just the act of scribbling those words will help your inner peace.

I used April’s featured collection Art for the Soul, along with this month’s freebie, Rubber Stamp Alpha.

Hi Vicki! This took me a while to get out of my head and onto my virtual page but I’m finally happy enough with it to submit. I am very fortunate in that I am barely effected by being in lock down here in Oz because I’m basically a hermit anyway but I realised when thinking about what I am ‘feeling’ right now is how comforting and wonderful it is just to be at home and create art every day – so my art is my home, where I feel safe and happy which became my theme. Love the Art & Soul kit so much too! Those houses are so cute 🙂 Thanks for another great challenge – I’m so looking forward to May’s now!

Well, it was certainly worth the wait! And I so agree – home is my safe place and creating art, as I’m sure you’ve guessed, is my refuge from the world. Thank you so much for pushing through and finishing this page! And thanks for your kind words about the collection. It was a labor of love on my part. Xo
