For most of my life I have lived in Minnesota. The only other place I lived was in Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I have worked as both a ski patrol and a tour guide. Biggest blast of my life! I have two grown sons who live here in Minnesota near me and two very furry, calico cats that I adore.
I was born with one arm and was involved in a semi-truck accident back in the ’90’s breaking my wrist and had many complications, so I have not been able to gainfully work most of my adult life. Art has filled that void in so many ways! I began rubber stamping in the ’90’s and never stopped. When I’m not scrapping, I love the being outdoors, walking, skiing, boating, etc.
In the early 2000’s I met a woman who introduced me to digital art an, again, I never looked back. Today I am on many design teams for digital art and also am published in many stamping magazines with my traditionally rubber stamped cards.
I entered a contest for a local digital company with a traditional layout (not even knowing what digital scrapping was). The owner contacted me and asked if I’d be willing to learn digital. She mentored me through the process and she is still a big part of my life today!
I have been a creative team member since 2003 and have been on many teams over the years.
- Software: Photoshop Elements
- Style: Depending on my mood, both collage style and simple, clean style. I really love using a lot of white space on my pages and I enjoy journaling and making clusters from elements.
- Page Subjects: I am not a grandmother yet, so the children in my layouts are typically my nephew’s children, two little boys who remind me so much of my own two sons at that age and a girlfriend’s young daughter (who is adorable). I also scrap a lot with my own two sons.
