Another week, another art journal challenge! If you’ve been following along, you know that the word “fearless” presented itself to me over and over in the past several weeks. So much so, that it became obvious that, although I had no intentions of doing choosing a word for the year, it chose me.
I guess that Cilenia wanted to be sure I got that message because last week, as part of our Artful Intentions 2014, Cilenia Curtis challenged me to create a journal page using these prompts:
- An arrow
- The color orange
- The word or theme “fearless”
Thanks for keeping me on track, Cilenia!
I want to incorporate these challenges in my Documented Life art journal, so I’ve chosen to do my journal
pieces in a 4×3 size so they are easy to attach I also want to incorporate my new The Journey digital kit – so this week I’m creating a digital card. I’ll print it and then add it to my physical journal (I’ll show you how that turned out in a later post). I’m just not quite ready to let go of the colors of that kit, so I created a few more digital bits in that scheme and style.
If you look carefully (click the image for a closer view) you’ll be able to see some of my journaling – but it is purposely obscured. I love the look of lots of paint and blended layers!
I am playing catch-up with your artful intentions. I had a recent death in the family, and am still trying to get myself back in line. I rejoined your newsletter and hope to hear from you very soon. I am so sorry that I missed the freebie because I love your fantastic brushes. Now on to read your most recent response to Cilenia. XXXOOO 😉
